Sally Owens Death, Family And Friends Mourns The Passing Of A Beloved Soul
Sally Owens Death – The problems that emerged from a fall caused Sally Owens, who was 89 years old when she passed away, to suffer from brain trauma. Sally Owens had suffered from brain trauma. The members of her family, particularly Theresa TC Goodwin-Carr and Jerry Owens, who called to alert me of the news, have been surrounding her throughout this time.
On the third and fourth of July, I had the extraordinary good fortune to have the opportunity to meet her for the very first time at a restaurant in York, Pennsylvania, which was located in close proximity to her residence. Several of her children and their families, as well as my cousin Richard Cleary, were present at that location, and I was joined by them. During her marriage to her late husband, Norman, who passed away a few years ago, she gave birth to eight children.
As the one who brought them all up together, she was a brilliant, hilarious, and generous individual. I have a lot of gratitude for the fact that I was able to hear some stories from my legendary Irish great aunts and “Grandpop” John Cleary, her grandfather, who was also my great-grandfather. I am thankful for the opportunity to listen to these stories. Her mother, Anna Cleary, was the sister of my grandfather John, and her father, John Somers, was an Irish butler who lived and worked on a lovely estate in Pittsburgh.
When she was born, she was named after her grandfather. It was on June 15th, 1934 that she was born. It was most likely through the Cleary Employment Bureau, which was managed by my great-grandfather John Cleary and my grandmother Sarah, that they were able to make touch with one another. Sally’s father passed away earlier in her life, when she was roughly 18 years old. At the time of her father’s demise, her sister Gidget Schrott was only a few years old.
Sally’s father passed away when she was approximately 18 years old. Not long after that, Sally tied the knot with Norman Owens, and considering that he was serving in the military at the time, the couple decided to embark on a trip that would take them all over the world. It was somewhere in the 1960s that they eventually made their way back to Pittsburgh, but they eventually moved to York, Pennsylvania, after Norman found a position in that city after he retired.
